I could wax on about “Tush” for a while. Bill Tush (if I recall) was a programming guy in the early days at WTBS (I interviewed him, but it was 25 years ago) when he came up with an idea for a comedy show. It was primarily short, funny skits and send-ups done with subtle humor as opposed to laugh-track enhanced, in-your-face sitcom fare. There was a certain sweetness and sincerity to the show that made it stand out during its run (and thereafter). After the show left the air, Tush became an entertainment reporter with Turner (CNN), but his contribution to TV is never forgotten. By the way, one of his regular cast members was Jan Hooks who was to go on to SNL.
Rather than embed a clip, go to Bill’s site to see a wide range of clips.
Footnote:It dawned on me after looking at the show’s intro that Bonnie and Terry Turner went on to be part of SNL and then later produce “3rd Rock from the Sun” and "That '70s Show."
