Keep your eye on Austin-based On Networks. They are distributing some of the best “midtail” content out in the market. Midtail, as I see it, is better than consumer video (YouTube) but not the sort of stuff you see in Prime Time. And that’s good.
Among my favorites is “Stump the Chef,” a variation of sorts on the BBC’s “Ready, Steady, Cook” and some U.S. derivations that have appeared on The Food Network.

Please let me know if you want any additional information about ON Networks or its shows...we recently announced the food line-up of shows, which includes Stump the chef, along with Dinner with the Band, Budget Health Nut and Food Science.
