Graspr.Com

In my regular day job, I had the opportunity to meet the founders of Grasp.Com. As someone who used to be involved in the how-do business, selling books and tapes, there is a key to success and that is having “experts” who know what they are talking about and have some market recognition. These new sites offering how-do videos online have great potential, but they must have a strong rating and recommendation system to separate pretenders from actual experts.

Allen, Thanks for writing about Graspr. And you are correct about having a rating system to let users know what videos are appropriate and offer value. That's one of the great features that Graspr offers users. Graspr has a rating system where videos are rated for each skill level (Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, or Good for Anyone); and users can also take notes within the videos and read the community's notes, which helps users know which videos are not only best suited for them, but which ones the community found most credible and valuable.
